Taylor never wanted to do ComedySportz. He was forced into it in High School when the president of the Theater Arts Club removed the historic “Improv Night” and replaced it with ComedySportz.
After his reluctance, Taylor fell in love with the show, and has been making audiences groan at his puns ever since.
Originally from Los Angeles, Taylor Sternberg joins ComedySportz San Jose after a long stint in the Tony Award Winning Broadway Musical “Jersey Boys”. Before his time on the New York stage, Taylor spent many years working with improv’s big names, including The Upright Citizen’s Brigade, Improv Olympic, The People’s Improv Theater (PIT), and ComedySportz Los Angeles. Taylor also teaches improv and acting around the country with many different companies including Davenport Theatricals, many high school and college groups, and Actor’s Technique New York. Taylor is a graduate from UCLA, and continues to only care about UCLA football when they beat USC.
Taylor now works for a tech company where he sings and dances to the chagrin of his coworkers.
When not improvising, Taylor can be found enjoying an evening of League of Legends, catching up on The Walking Dead and Doctor Who, breakdancing by request, and being the lone person cheering for the LA Kings at Sharks games.
