Player Spotlight Friday: Laura Lineback “To the Future”

Posted on 04. Feb, 2011 by in Blog, CSz Culture

Laura Lineback was introduced to improv in 9th grade when she signed up for the lovely school elective of “German.” After 30 minutes in class, not understanding a word, she excused herself to the office where she accepted the only elective class that still had open spaces in it: drama. Her drama teacher Kristen Porter, a Comedysportz player herself, taught a drama class that was heavy handed in improv and Laura fell in love. Shortly after, she joined the CSz High School League and the rest is history.

Laura currently is a painter pursuing a degree in art at San Francisco State University. She can (and will if you let her) beat you at chess.

Player since: 2003
Favorite Game: Madrigal
Favorite CSz Moment: “Making former CSz player (and mentor) Kevin Miller cry on stage during the game Casanova. When the suggestion was “sugar” and player Jeff Kramer said “Pour” (as in “pour some sugar on me”) my mind thought “poor” and then I said “people”, making the room laugh and Kevin cry.”
Insider Statz: Laura drinks coffee before showz. Or Go Girl energy drink. “Never together, of course.”
