Player Spotlight Friday: Cole “Too Big For His” Bridges

Posted on 18. Feb, 2011 by in Blog, CSz Culture

Cole Bridges started ComedySportz through the ComedySportz High School League in 2005.  He lives in San Jose and is a Senior at San Jose State University studying history.  Other hobbies include preaching useless historical factoids and hanging out with his two dogs, a beagle and a Labrador, when they are in town.  Cole hopes to travel to Europe in the future and look at all the really cool old stuff in Italy, Spain and Germany, as well as finally use his PADI Scuba certification to dive in the Caribbean and maybe find some sunken treasure.

Cole’s Comedic influences are rooted in all kinds of sources but most land within the realm of Stand Up comedy (George Carlin, Steve Martin, Louis CK) and Adult Swim programming (Frisky Dingo, Sealab 2021, Robot Chicken).

Favorite TV Shows: Archer, Frisky Dingo, Family Guy, Arrested Development, and 30 Rock.

Favorite Movies: The Hangover, Definitely Maybe, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, and many many more.

Player since: April 2008

Favorite Game(s): 185 and Crime Story

Favorite CSz Moment(s): “Watching Michael Wilcoxen during a game of 185 go up to the spot on the very first joke and commence a very funny, but incorrect, World’s Worst (wrong game, Michael) and hearing the stunned silence of everyone in the room.”

“The moment I walked into Milwaukee ComedySportz’s arena during the 25th Anniversary World Tournament. It was truly amazing.”

Insider Statz: “I never remember to go to the bathroom before going on stage.  So if you see me in a show, you can assume I have unfinished business to take care of at halftime or afterwards.”
