Huzzah! CSz out at Downtown San Jose’s First Renaissance Faire

Downtown San Jose has been home to some interesting activities over the years. In the five + years we’ve called the downtown area our home, we’ve grown to love the playground of museums, strategically placed art, food and parades of all types that run through there. BUT WE WERE ECSTATIC WHEN WE HEARD THEY WERE GOING TO HOLD THE FIRST EVER DOWNTOWN SAN JOSE RENAISSANCE FAIRE!
If you were lucky enough to steal away this weekend, you were treated to a professional jousting act, knight competitions competing in duels (on horseback!) and a bunch of different games among the festively dressed folks. Since CSz’s launch of Much Improv About Nothing, our monthly improvised Shakespeare-themed show, we’ve increasingly enjoyed visiting events like these as a group. It was even more exciting that it was in our own backyard this year.
Brandon enjoyed the authentic Ren Faire food of pizza, while Jimmy almost (almost) convinced some of the other CSz’ers to get swords.
A good time was had by all!
