On March 4th, 2011, at the 9 p.m. show, the ComedySportz San Jose team bid a tearful farewell to player Amber Jene as she made her move into free agent territory. The 22 year-old Newark darling has executed the highly strategic transition to Los Angeles, where she plans to explore more of the world in
comedy, singing and acting.
Amber began her improv journey at Ohlone college in 2008 and started ComedySportz workshops in the January following. She was drafted to the CSz professional league in July of 2010.
In a statement to the press, Amber said, “My friend Shelly gave me a birthday card that says ‘dreams come a size too big so that we can grow into them.’ I know this to be true and I’ve got a lot of growing to do. I just want to let each and every person at ComedySportz, playerz and Loyal Fanz alike, that you’re a huge part of my journey. It’s been a dream getting to be a part of the CSz family.”
The team will surely miss her, her energy on the field and her beautiful singing in the warm-up room and beyond.

I’ve seen Amber a few times, and she is AWESOME! In fact, she is one of my favorites. I will miss her. I can’t wait to see her on SNL in a few years
Thanks, Lilach! We miss her already – such a talented lady. =)
